Car washes in the United States come in four main formats: the express tunnel, where you stay in the car while a conveyor pulls it through brushes or high-pressure jets; the full-service wash, where attendants vacuum and wipe down the interior after the tunnel; the self-service bay with a coin or card-operated pressure wand, foam brush and vacuums; and the hand wash, where a crew washes and dries the car by hand. Touchless tunnels skip the cloth brushes entirely and rely on chemicals and water pressure, which is gentler on paint but less effective on heavy grime. Most express chains sell an unlimited monthly plan, usually priced at two to three single washes, that is only worth it if you wash more than twice a month. Gas stations often bundle a discounted wash with a fill-up.

Tucson is in Arizona, in the Southwest, where the desert climate brings very hot summers, mild sunny winters and the summer monsoon; outdoor businesses shift their hours toward early mornings and evenings in the hottest months. Getting around Tucson is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Arizona's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I used to go to this car wash last summer. It has changed so much. It is so dirty, razor blades in each bay. Put in three dollars on a car wash machine it didn’t even work. The place is just completely dirty homeless in their cars This place has gone really downhill and it’s a very dirty

I go here all the time. The bay I used took credit cards. My suv was filthy so I took my time washing it, spray soap, used the brush, clear coat, rinse, and finally spot free rinse that makes a huge difference. Took 15 minutes and it was 7.50. I pulled up to vacuum and it also had credit cards capabilities, but I used quarters. I think it was 1.00 and it gave me plenty of time for front and back mats and the trunk. All the soaps and suds on brush were plentiful, btw.

I think I paid about $9 total for usage of a good vacuum & the wash itself. VERY DISAPPOINTED that my vehicle was left with water spots & smeared dirt, even after scrubbing it. I've honestly never had this issue before, and I'll never return. Now I have to go somewhere else to pay more & get the crap off.

I've been going here for two years and see that this car wash continues to decline in functionality and general condition. Trash cans are generally overflowing and the place is dirty. I went today, started a wash only to find the supply hoses were leaking and the stall controls not working; that makes two of six stalls not working properly (one had a cone in front). Some stalls take tokens and some a credit card. Lame.....make them all credit card. Additionally, the drying spaces are too small for two vehicles side by side. Just go to one of the many local drive thru car washes. It's not that much more and faster.

Update. Thurs May 11 @ 6 pm. Tonight I finally got my wash to agree to finally wash her SUV. It was dirty, dirt from 6 months ago. Well, the place looks the same, clean. All working selections and plenty of; tire cleaner, soapy brush and clear coat protector. There is a separate hose to spray the pink Wax. Overall I give it 5 stars. Great Job Road Runner Car Wash. Was in badly need of a car wash. Running out of room for the bugs. Just glad i never made eye contact. I've used the car wash before, and it's not bad. Place is neat, clean, have working machines. This place has the potential to be a great car wash. The wash power is low, not the greatest buy deceit enough to get car completely clean. The cool thing about this car wash, it has had all switch selection available, working and spraying out a lot of products (wax, clear finish, brush soap, etc). No money coins used here, it takes tokens, 1 token 2 min 30 seconds, $5.00 = 6 tokens. Jan 15, 2026. Washed my car here last night. It's been a long time since my last review. I really hate to say this place has become a dump. I used random selections of washes. I got a few bubbles on the wash brush. Water pressure
